The EPA has concluded that 47% of the water in Irish rivers is unsatisfactory, due to excessive nitrogen in the water. They say that these high nitrate values in our drinking water supplies pose a risk to human health.

Recently Buncrana was singled out for seepage from surrounding farms into our drinking water.
